Retired at last, after a very long working life as a retailer and farmer (sheep, cows, pigs, alpacas and goats), I am finally able to follow my other passion, art.
I put off joining an art group because I didn’t think I was good enough but I found the Bishop’s Stortford Art Society and realised it is for all abilities. Yes, some of the members are very accomplished but most are just like me. There are demos to see by visiting artists in all sorts of media and opportunities to meet and create at evening meetings as well as organised outdoor events. I have made lots of new friends and have had the chance to sell my work at exhibitions. So if you are thinking of joining don’t wait- do it NOW!
