Hazel Adlam

I am an artist based in Leaden Roding and have been painting and crafting ever since I can remember. After graduating in fine art in the 80s I went on to forge a career in education. My first post was teaching GCSE Art & Design.

After a career change I set up my own Art & Craft business and regularly sell my work at art and craft fairs and have held a number of solo art exhibitions over the years. I also paint on commission any subject in various mediums including oils, watercolours, pastel and acrylic from pet & people portraits to automotive & aircraft, wildlife and architecture. As well as creating more realistic pieces I love to explore expressionist and impressionist styles and also enjoy the process in creating technical drawings and renderings. I like to paint on more unusual surfaces; plywood and pallets, stones, slate and metal, exploring their properties and trying out new techniques.

I’ve been a member of Bishop’s Stortford Art Society and Leaden Roding Art Club for a number of years and enjoy the company of fellow artists and the friends I have made.
