Lesley-Anne Webb

I used to draw a lot when I was younger, mainly horses, but as you grow up work and other things come along in life and drawing took a back step. It was only when I did a 6-week drawing course at Ware College before I went on to study a Diploma in Garden Design, that my interest was rekindled. I later signed myself up to a beginner painting and drawing evening class at Ware College where I got to draw and paint in all sorts of different mediums and switch off from a busy life for 2 hours every week, which was bliss. I attended for 3 years in the end before Covid hit us all. I found that I liked working in pen and wash, soft pastels and more recently acrylics. I joined Much Hadham Art Society some years ago and then last year joined the Bishops Stortford Art Society, keen to learn more, meet other artists and develop my skills. I’ve attended a few all-day workshops with professional artists, to learn about different techniques and styles. I’ve had no formal training, so it has been so helpful to do these. My art is my relaxation from full time job commitments.
