Tracey Pinnington
Bishop’s Stortford based artist Tracey Pinnington creates dramatic paintings inspired by light and shadow, with a focus on the natural world.
Working primarily in acrylic paint, her meticulous at work demonstrates an extraordinary level of detail. She brings her paintings to life using a series of layered glazes and building up striking contrasts between light and shadow, a technique which adds drama and depth to her finished portraits. Her aim is to capture the character or power of the animals she paints, often creating the illusion of the subject waiting just beyond the edge of light, lingering, giving you the impression you are being watched.
Tracey has captivated a loyal following of art enthusiasts and collectors both locally and worldwide. She has won numerous awards and featured in books and magazines such as Artists and Illustrators Magazine. Her work is represented by the renowned fine art publishers ‘Buckingham Fine Art’ and is exhibited in several large galleries across the UK, including Aura Fine Art, Soho Fine Art and Cotswold Contemporary galleries.
Her British Wildlife Collection (seen here), will be available very soon from Soho Fine Art, Canterbury
