Barbara Anderson

I left school after successfully completing my exams, which included Art GCE with credit. Although I wanted to go to Art School my parents had other ideas, as l was one of six children, so I was put straight to work. I didn’t start painting until I had a home of my own. Following a drawing class, I joined the Bishop’s Stortford Art Society after artist John Pittuck (the society president at the time) encouraged me to join. BSAS has given me the inspiration to try many mediums as well as meeting new friends. For me art is not only exciting but also has a therapeutic benefit, as you can lose yourself in the creative process.
