Eileen Valder
When my husband’s job forced relocating to Bishop’s Stortford 23 years ago, I gave up my Hairdressing and Beauty business and took a part time job in town. After that I attended an adult education art course. Since then I have joined Bishop’s Stortford Art Society for which I am the Secretary. I enjoy BSAS’s fortnightly meetings with demonstrations, life drawing and painting evenings.
I am often found helping on the monthly Stall the society has at the Farmers and Craft Market in town.
I paint mostly using acrylics, some watercolours and occasionally use pastels. A lot of my work is purely my imagination running riot with colour.
I love the work of JMW Turner, and Claude Monet and modern day artists – Keith Hornblower, Andrew Geeson and FWMorris. They inspire me!!
